Project Overview
Mobile CAD were appointed to undertake an External Elevation, Topographical and GPR Utilities Survey of a primary school in Bath. The site, characterised by an interconnected layout of buildings and varied topographical levels, required strategic planning to co-ordinate all teams to support future development and renovation work.
Challenges Faced
Prudent co-ordination and planning of various survey teams mitigated disruption to the students as all teams were able to attend on the same day within school holidays.
All of our surveyors have up to date Enhanced DBS checks and various other background checks.
The site contained a blend of historical and modern buildings, requiring multiple scanning approaches to capture varying architectural forms.
The Outcome
Using a combination of high-definition scanning and traditional techniques, MobCAD delivered a precise, multi-layered dataset that enabled the design team to visualise all aspects of the school environment. The outputs have underpinned key planning decisions and enhanced project confidence from the outset.
