Harps Oak House

Project Overview

Mobile CAD were engaged to conduct a full measured survey of Harps Oak House, a Grade II listed estate dating back to the 15th century. The works included both 2D and 3D outputs to aid informed decisions to preserve the historical integrity of the site.

Challenges Faced

Extensive scaffolding made it difficult to access and visualise some building components, requiring flexible scanning approaches.

The site was active and posed risks such as vandalism and theft, necessitating strict H&S compliance.

The combination of old structures and modern restoration plans demanded precision in both equipment selection and model accuracy.

The Outcome

Through strategic hybrid survey techniques (including drone and terrestrial scanning), we were able to produce a highly detailed heritage-sensitive dataset. These insights supported architects and planners in visualising both the preservation needs and redevelopment potential.

Technical 3D Models

We produced a LOD4 (level of detail) to ensure the detail requirements were met to ensure complete architectural context.

Readily Available Equipment

We have a large inventory of equipment to enable our surveyors to capture most hard to reach areas.

Single Coordinated Package

Supported planners with complete elevation and topographical data in a single coordinated package.
